Our co-owner John Smucker and his wife Myrna invite you to an unforgettable Banquet in a Cornfield on their farm. This authentic Bird-in-Hand experience will give you an opportunity to connect with Lancaster County’s fertile land and its delicious bounty.
6 pm A fun hayride to and from the Smucker farm (alternative transportation available)
6:30 pm Farm-fresh dinner at the Smucker farm (served in their barn in case of inclement weather)
8 to 9 pm Informal gathering on hay bales with live music around the Smucker fire pit (weather-permitting)
The Bird-in-Hand Banquet in a Cornfield menu will be prepared by the Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Smorgasbord. You’ll feast on barbecue chicken, freshly picked corn on the cob, served in its husk with melted butter, baked russet and sweet potatoes and Grandma Smucker’s favorite baked lima beans. Plus, you’ll enjoy Pennsylvania Dutch chow chow, cole slaw and applesauce, rolls and apple butter, famous Bird-in-Hand whoopie pies, shortcake with fresh berries, iced tea and lemonade.
