Bird-in-Hand Family Inn
- Lifeguard- FT or PT, nights and weekends.
- Housekeeper- PT, day hours including weekends.
- Front Desk Clerk- PT, 2:30-10:30 pm. 3 weekends per month.
Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Smorgsbord
- Buffet Attendant- PT, evenings.
- Banquet Helper- PT, evenings and Saturdays. Must be 18 years or older.
- Banquet Server- PT, various hours. Includes some Saturdays.
- Short Order Cook- FT or PT, am or pm. Includes Saturdays.
- Kitchen Helper- FT or PT, am or pm. Includes Saturdays.
Bird-in-Hand Bakery
- Baker’s Helper- PT, Mon & Fri from 3:45-8 pm.
Bird-in-Hand Corporation
- Maintenance Person- PT, includes some weekends on call.

STAFF BENEFITS
Following is a brief summary of some of the benefits that are available to all Staff Members.
Health Insurance- Available for Staff Members who meet the required hours per week.
401(k) Plan - (Available at most businesses.) Staff Members who qualify may invest pre-tax dollars in this program. The company also provides dollar contributions to the plan.
Vacation Pay - Staff Members who perform continuous service for a period of 1 year will be eligible for paid vacation.
Credit Union- Staff Members may join the Mennonite Federal Credit Union. Direct deposit of paychecks is available.
Leave of Absence - A Leave of absence not exceeding 60 days may be granted at the discretion of the Manager.
Funeral Pay - In the event of a death in the immediate family we will grant a paid leave of absence for 1 - 3 days at the discretion of the Manager.
Education and Training - Each new Staff Member will participate in a one-day orientation session in addition to their on-the-job training. Any Staff Member interested in further training or education may be eligible for full or partial reimbursement of the costs involved.
Staff Activities - Every year all Staff Members are invited to participate in various Staff Activities provided by the company. These include a Staff Summer/Fall Event, a Staff Banquet and a Staff Appreciation Week.
Staff Discount Cards - Each Staff Member will be given a discount card, which entitles her/him to various discounts at the Bird-in-Hand Family of Companies.
Reward for Referrals - Staff Members who refer their family/friends for job openings at any of the Bird-in-Hand Family of Businesses may be eligible for a $100 reward and other gifts.
Advancement Opportunities - As a growing company, we provide advancement opportunities for our Staff. All job opportunities are posted internally before being advertised to the general public.
